V.J. Rice Concrete Limited is a family-owned and operated company opened in 1961. Throughout its history, the company has specialized in the production and supply of ready-mix concrete and concrete products. The company has constructed modern, computer-controlled manufacturing facilities in the Annapolis Valley, at Kentville, Bridgetown and Digby and operates the most modern fleet of ready-mix, pumper, and boom trucks in Southwest Nova Scotia.

In 2015, V.J. Rice Concrete Limited opened the first central-mix concrete plant in Nova Scotia, at Mount Uniacke. This facility services the Halifax Regional Municipality and surrounding areas, providing a consistent and high-strength product to the company’s customers.
